High-resolution Ultrasound at the UZR

Diagnostics through ultrasound, a technology that does not harm patients and is affordable, has experienced an unforeseen push in technology and it is impossible to imagine modern rheumatology without it.

Rheumatological sonography offers countless advantages: excellent resolution (comparable to MRI), dynamic examination, examination at the exact location of the pain or the problem, and targeted therapy, if necessary.

Sonography is always performed in the clinical context at the UZR and the interaction between the experienced clinician and the patient enrichens the sonographic examination.

  1. Resolution Excellent resolution for the mostly superficial structures of the musculoskeletal system (comparable to MRI)
  2. Precision Examination at the exact location of the pain or the current problem
  3. Dynamic Tendons, muscles, nerves, oder joints can be examined dynamically during movement.
  4. Verifiable The findings and interventions can be verified at any time due to video taping
  5. Direct examination and direct initiation of therapy by the clinically assessing physician
